Hugs for Our Spirit

How wonderful and comforting to know and experience the joy that comes after sorrow. Taking this verse literally, the darkness is only temporary. Even when it comes again, SO WILL THE SUN IN THE MORNING, like the hug our spirit desperately needs, at just the right time.

And I don’t know what it is about the night time that makes a difficult situation feel worse than it is. Maybe it’s the quietness and the stillness of the night, when we are not “doing” and trying to rest but can’t because our minds play that hurtful “video tape” over and over. And when our eyes finally start to feel heavy and we close them, THERE “IT IS” AGAIN!

I’m not a Bible Scholar, would never say I am or pretend to be, but this one thing I do know…

Sorrows come and go, but the JOY of the LORD is forever.

Greetings…

Hi, guys! I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend with your families, friends, etc.

This past weekend was amazing; full of highs and lows, but I wouldn’t change it for the world, considering all that was learned. And seeing some prayers answered, concerning a friend of my daughter was icing on the cake! And with my oldest daughter, seeing her recommit to Jesus over the past few weeks, and seeing her understand and be a living example of the Prodigal Son (daughter), was so beautiful.

For me, it’s the “little things” that are the most beautiful and significant…

No Need to Worry

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was  walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand ; one belonging to him and the other to the Lord.  When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life. This really bothered him and questioned the Lord about it. ”Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way. However, I noticed that during the most troublesome times of my life there was only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.” The Lord replied, “my precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you during your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you.”
