Nigerian Girls2 As reported by the Afro.com:  Washington, D.C.– A Peaceful Rally to Showcase our frustration with the Nigerian Government concerning the abduction of over 200 schoolgirls in Borno, Nigeria

Citizens of African descent that live within the D.C. Metropolitan area will join the thousands of Nigerians worldwide to express our solidarity with the families of the abducted girls girls from Chibok, and our frustration with the Federal Government of Nigeria’s lackluster response to the recent abduction of over 200 schoolgirls in in Northern Nigeria.

WHO: Nigerians in the diaspora

WHAT: Peace Rally to send a message to the Nigerian government
This impromptu peace rally is scheduled to have 100+ Nigerians as well as people of other African ethnicities standing in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C where a keynote speaker will render a speech, poets will recite African poems, and a singer(s) will perform Nigeria’s national anthem.
