God Is Still God In The Desert

The Lord may lead you to the back of the desert without you even realizing that He’s doing it-all the while preparing you to be taken off the bench to be put to His use.

The desert doesn’t mean you are without God.  Itmeans that you are
being set apart, sanctified for His purpose.  For Moses, it was to go back to the land of Egypt, to be used to being God’s people out of their oppression and into God’s blessing.  And just like Moses, I’m the first one to ask, “Who am I that You should use me?”  But that’s not for me to question anymore because that’s putting the focus in the wrong direction.  I’m reminded of that old hymn,

” Trust and obey
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus
You must trust and obey.”
